Whilst the Coronavirus continues to turn our world upside down maybe now is a good time to get out into the wide open space of our beautiful countryside, breath in some fresh air and let nature be your entertainment. With the National Trust's announcement with regards to opening parklands and gardens for free for the foreseeable future the countryside remains well and truly open.
We are closely linked with the Camping and Caravanning club and are continuously monitoring the operation of the club’s campsite network. Whilst at the current time the majority of campsites remain open, you will notice some changes when you arrive:
- All campsites are running at a maximum of 50% occupancy, with more space to promote easier social distancing between pitches
- Meets, gatherings and socialising in groups outside your travel party are not permitted
- All on-site social and communal areas will be closed
- All facilities blocks are closed, this includes toilets, showers and washing up facilities
These measures will be in place until at least the end of May or until further government guidance is issued.
All of our vehicles (apart from Star range) are fully equipped with bathrooms and kitchens and are effectively a self-contained, self-catering home from home.
For now, and for the foreseeable we plan on taking a “business as normal” approach but we all have to take sensible precautions therefore we would ask all customers to follow the latest Government health and hygiene advice. As standard all of our vehicles are thoroughly cleaned in between each hire but we have now implemented some additional procedures to ensure the safety of ourselves and our customers.
If you or anyone within your household currently have any symptoms of Covid-19, such as a cough, temperature, breathlessness or just generally feeling unwell, and you are due to go out on hire within the next 14 days please do not continue with your hire. Please contact us to discuss your options.
With immediate effect we are offering all customers due to go out on hire prior to 31st May 2020 the option to amend your booking to dates any time between now and the 31st March 2021 (subject to availability). If, however, you cancel your booking our standard cancellation policy applies. If you do not yet know the dates that you would like to transfer your booking too then you will be offered a credit against your account.
We appreciate that people may be concerned about COVID-19 and so we wanted to reassure you that we are continually monitoring the travel advice issued by the UK Government through the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO)
Warmest Wishes
Kelly & James
